International Seminar
The International Seminar is a hinge space which has an articulating function between the three instances of our institution, which are: the Clinical College of Colorado, the Colorado Analytic Forum of the Lacanian Field and the School of Psychoanalysis of the Forums of the Lacanian Field.
The aim is to create a working space fostering a discussion climate that will continue to cause us in this endeavor of reinventing psychoanalysis time and again, as well as learning from the clinical appreciation of colleagues from other cultures where clinical manifestations are different from the ones we are used to.
International Seminars are a way to bring foreign air to an otherwise local community of analysts. These Seminars are one of the manners in
which The Colorado Analytic Forum and the Clinical College of Colorado attempt to go beyond the local in terms of transference of work, propitiating links with our peers around the world, an aspect that brings to life our International School of Psychoanalysis.
We co-host annually, along with the Colorado Analytic Forum, two International Seminars, in the Spring and the Fall each year. In these opportunities we welcome an international guest analyst from the international community of the Forums of the Lacanian Field, who comes to work with us for a weekend in person. Our International Seminars always have a half a day dedicated to School matters.
Registration fees vary between $100 to $200 per International Seminar and this fee covers the registration and party/cocktail/celebration that closes every one of these events.
